Ally chats about her epic career which began with starring roles in some of the most iconic films to ever be made - The Breakfast Club, St. Elmo’s Fire, High Art, War Games, to name a few. Ally chats what it was like as a regularly working actress in the 80’s, working with John Hughes, the indie darling High Art, “The Brat Pack”, and how the industry has changed both for women and due to social media throughout the years. Ally discusses what it was like to be the first female to play the epic Hedwig in Hedwig and the Angry Inch and how Broadway differs from TV and movies. Speaking of TV, we gush over her new role as Carole in the brilliant Single Drunk Female. Of course in the age of reboots we chat a possible Breakfast Club reboot, the state of the industry today and her “side hustle”, teaching college kids acting. Yup, Professor Sheedy in the building. As a teenager growing up in London during the 80's, I was a huge fan of the John Hughes movies. I dreamed of going to high school in America which seemed so much more fun than my boring suburban school in the UK!! Ally Sheedy was great in the Breakfast Club and St Elmo's Fire. She hasn't changed at all...she's still beautiful inside and out. Thanks for another great interview.

She's so beautiful ..inside as well it seems. I know it's a compliment 4 people to say, " u look so young for ur age", but I feel there is some real beauty in age for alot of men and women..maybe cuz I'm older I'm attracted to my own age group. Fyi..my daughter has the breakfast club movie poster..1 of both of our fave films.
