This hotel may not be on the beach but it is in the heart of Waikiki, easy to walk to the beach and restaurants nearby. It’s a good hotel for the price, and caters more toward families.

You’re right……it’s a place to drop in…..sleep, change, shower enjoy the view briefly but not spend a lot of time there……it is an express after all….the price of the room wasn’t bad by the looks of it….and including quick breakfast…..not bad….love the outside patio…..great review!

I was there with family 2 weekends ago! I got the suite and it was a great size, about double the size of a regular room. I highly recommend it! It had 2 Air conditioners, a couch and a bar table and stools. The price was about $25 more per night, but the resort fee was double what you paid (i paid $50 per person for the resort fee instead of $30) The breakfast was great, too, especially when traveling with fam. The dining area was large.

Thx this was everything i needed to know. I would love to go there if i can save enough 💰. Glad to hear it was overall a good experience and to have an objective review. I'm not looking for a 5 star resort (even if i could afford it 😂), but somewhere conveniently located with gym and breakfast nowadays is hard to come by.

Staying here in late Jan/early Feb for a week. It seemed that the pricing of this hotel, given the relatively updated rooms and the hot breakfast bar, seemed like a reasonable value compared to other resorts on or just off the beach. I was considering a Double Tree that's very close...a little further west from the Holiday Inn Express. About the same pricing but the rooms seemed more dated and had slightly more negative reviews and no free breakfast.
