In theory yes but very difficult to do - it;s a non calculator paper. The question is really testing fractions and so you really need to be able to do it the way I showed. Go over one more time to ensure you can. Best of luck!

@aneesa khan, it's because you substituted the 13 back into the equation wrong. If you subbed it back into the 1st line of the simultaneous equation, you would have got 2a + 13 = 63, therefore 2a = 50, and a = 25. It was a simple error, but it can cost you a mark or two so be careful :)

I was eleven minutes in and heard a few mistakes Lol. The stem and leaf diagram was counted wrong and the part when you said to add an odd and an odd to get an even was wrong. I mean wrong by the example you gave ( 7 + 9 = 16 not 18)

11:07 You say 7+9=18, which is incorrect.

What software are you using? Would love to practise on my laptop than doing it on paper.

Hello I did number 11 and I did it a different way so I times the top by 3 and the bottom by 2 to get 6a +3c=189 and the 2nd equation 6a+4c=202 so c = 13 for the children but for the adults I got 26 not 25 and final answer answer that he is £5 short not 4. So I don't understand where I've gone wrong.
