I really appreciate your comments on marriage/raising kids. I'm in a very similar situation, and it took a long time to come to an "understanding" in the relationship.

We agree on 99% of things, this one thing (despite its importance, ) should not be the thing that tears us apart. Do we disagree on things? Of course. But we can have conversations and come to agreements on how we will raise our child and react to the world.

It's nice to hear that I'm not the only one successfully navigating these stormy waters.

Dan McClellan addressed the shroud of Turin in this week's Data Over Dogma episode. It was created in the 13th century by an artist to grift the true believers. The con artist claimed that it had the power to heal.

So, it's kind of like the prayer hankies that modern-day con artists sell on the big hair channels.

I continue to be amazed at you putting 3 videos out a week. It blows my mind how well you do it. As opposed to the number of (terrible) preachers whose full time job is preparing their sermons for twice a week.

The Chriatian friend who is "questioning" then suddenly hits reverse as soon as you drop the hard questions was a common occurrence for me as well.

I remember being told that a friend of mine was having a lot of the same issues I was having, so we should go have a drink and hash it out. As soon as I dropped a detailed version of "The Problem of Suffering" he sat back and said he didn't want to deal with that. He was just having some "little doubts."

It was really hard to find anyone to talk to within my Christian friend group, and I had to retreat to the online space.

It's amazing what a full life you lead. Like running, nature hikes, family, music, reading, making these videos, work, etc. Inspiring. Most people would be so busy that they wouldn't have time to consider their beliefs.
