This is completely inaccurate. Dry drowning occurs when water does NOT reach the lungs- hence DRY drowning. This is noticeable right away as the vocal cords spasm.
Secondary drowning is what occurs after small amounts of water irritate the lungs and causes pulmonary edema.
They’re not synonymous. Each are very different medical issues. And both are deadly. It’s important to educate the correct terms. I’m a healthcare professional and can tell you this for certain.

I am 14 I inhaled some water and Its been about 24 hours since and my chest hurts But chest pain and hard to breathe is a symptom of stress so Am I dry drowning.

or maybe that fact that I had bronchitis and asthma AT THE SAME TIME and it messed up my throat so badly I have to clear it every 20 seconds xD
