I have small hands and my fingers are short and stubby. I don't have big issue with speed except sometimes it is difficult to finger some advance chords and wide stretch legato.

My main finger issue is the placement of my nails. The end of my finger is in a way, where if i was to make a right angle with my finger and the fretboard, it's my nail that's touching the fretboard. This is kinda like an inflexible DIP, but i can't change it. Even with my nails cut as short as they'll go, it'll always be there.

you are missing an important part of the spider exercise. if you climb through the fingers while descending the strings you have to play a 1 and a 4 on 2 strings such that if your finger arch is bad you will not be able to play 1. this is why i do the spider
