12.20.2022 | 2:12 PM | FOUNTAIN VALLEY - A woman who became trapped in a storm drain was freed by firefighters following an extended extrication, Tuesday night.
First responders responded to reports of a woman trapped in a storm drain near the intersection of Talbert Avenue and Newhope Street around 2:12 PM.
When authorities arrived on scene they worked with public works officials to locate and free the woman in operation that took about two hours.
Medics assessed the woman at the scene and transported her to an area hospital in unknown condition.
It remains unclear why the woman was in the storm drain or how she got there.
