The big Tiger has come a long way to try and compete with the "bench mark" 1250 GS in the group. So the question becomes, it is time to buy it?

Hey NTP, kleiner Hinweis: Deine Textgrafik zur Sitzhöhe nennt zum Vergleich die Höhe der 850 GS, es soll bestimmt 1250 GS heißen.

My local Triumph dealer couldn't move a single 1200 for months. I came in and bought a GT Pro - the very first one in my dealer's region. Within the next 2 weeks, they sold 2 more.
Sometimes it's fun to be the early adopter. Where I live, a used GS costs as much as a new 1200, so I thought why not give Triumph a chance, as I can borrow a GS/GSA anytime.
After the first 1000km, I think my bike sits exactly between a Multistrada V4 and a GS in terms of sportiness and comfort, while being much cheaper than both brand new. It's not perfect, but I don't regret my decision - yet :D

Just bought a '23 GT Pro today! I REALLY wanted a 1300GS after riding one but the Tiger was literally $12k cheaper!!! Maybe I'll switch to a used 1300GS in a few years but super happy with the savings for now! Love your content!

By the sounds of it, Triumph have really delivered here (compared with their previous iterations). I think the fact we have differences between all these bikes is great, they're not trying to just copy each other but hopefully provide something unique. It really is great as a consumer to have such wonderful choices.

Thanks for your review, Scott - they're always a pleasure to watch.

I got Tiger 900 GT Pro and I absolutely love it with few exception - one being the noticeable vibration on above 60 mph and second one is the gear 1 being almost a dead beat even in a bumper to bumper traffic - What i love the most is comfort, head turning styles and freedom to simply change my suspension settings automatically. Cornering ABS, and auto cancel turn signals are simply amazing

A nice tip I picked up somewhere. When standing an adventure bike up, turn the bars full lock right, 30% easier.

Nice to see an honest review of this bike... here in Brazil, all youtubers made it look like it´s a perfect bike, but, we know that there´s no such thing... Great video, great job, as aways!

After 14 years on the same HD, I put a deposit on the Tiger 1200 GT Explorer and should have it in a few days. Yes, I've heard about the flaws but still very excited.

I really wanted to upgrade my Tiger 900 to the 1200 but nearest Triumph dealer is 4 hours away and they are a terrible dealer. Ended up with a 1250 GSA because the BMW dealer is 1.25 hours a away and they are a superb dealer. Very happy with my purchase, wish I could afford both the Tiger 1200 and the BMW

Great job, Scott. You made this video very informative and likeable.
About the bike itself: In my opinion, Triumph made a big mistake with the new Tiger 1200. At least with the GT models, they should have stuck with the previous 180 degree crankshaft. On the rally models, a 240 or 270 degree crankshaft makes perfect sense, but not on a street model. The great advantage of the Triple, this great "smooth" engine running, has been given away. I fear that not only I will miss out on the new 1200, this change in engine concept will cost Triumph some potential buyers.

Thanks for the video. Good job!

I have just ordered the current GS. I will have it in 2 weeks. A fantastic motorcycle!!!!
And yes I know: the new GS will certainly be better than the current model. But the current model is so good and proven. I don't even know what they are going to improve. They will probably work on the weight.
No one needs more engine power. Hopefully the quickshifter will be improved.
But that's about it in my eyes....

Nice to see that at least somewhere new motorcycles are in stock for sale. Around here the waiting lists are for the next summer season and the price of used ones is through the roof for second summer in a row. For example, a 2006 Honda CBF 600 S ABS with ~18 000 km on the odometer is usually for sale at the price of 4200 € and Yamaha MT-07 2014 with 25 000 km for 7200 €.

Another great review. I like the honesty, both good and bad so one can get a good idea of the bike before test riding one. Thanks!

Wow it sounds fantastic! One area the GS cannot compete.
