Fun fact: because of Dior's exclusivity, 5000 of the pairs of these shoes went DIRECTLY to top level Dior clients. So really only 8000 or so were made availible to the public.

I appreciate that this is by far the most honest review of these I've seen so far. Enough time has passed that the hype has kind of died down and you're able to mention that it's not much of a step up from a regular Jordan 1 in terms of quality and build or even presentation and the price is primarily driven by hype I think even the retail price is only justified by the hype.

I still think as far as design goes, Union 1s will be superior to the most recent jordan 1 collabs. its a 10/10 design imo

What I would do is find something like a brightly coloured scrap of felt or some other kinda thick cloth, and when closing the box, stuff it under the flap where the magnet is, to slightly reduce the strength of the magnets hold and also give you a quick visual clue about which side opens.

I was able to get the lows for retail. didn’t even want them and definitely didn’t think I would get selected when I put my name in the drawing but when I was picked I couldn’t not buy them. I’m glad I did because I love them now.
