NEC is bringing out a monitor the size of three monitors but is one single monitor. It's essentially a public version of the Aleinware Curve. It has a crazy resolution and has something like a 48:9 aspect ratio.

they are all playing at the right aspect ratio. each screen is running 16:9 but each running 1920x1080 and expanding ur view.

it seems that you haven't been in front of three of those screens yet m8.
I do use eyefinity 3 on three 23" at 5760x1080 and you DO have all the vision u need, frontal and lateral. U do perceive enemies, objects, effects, planes, etc... on the sides with the very edge of your eye, making the gaming experience a LOT more immersive and realistic.
Good for Ati and Eyefinity. I hope that technologies like this and involving 3D continue growing but by both sides, Nvidia and Ati.

if i remember right, this demonstration was run with only 1 5870 graphics card. that should give you some kind of perspective how powerful cards these are.

@lgrazy Crysis 2 is due November.2010.

I expect delays though because consoles are supposed to get it first and right now performance isn't very good on consoles so they've got around 1/2 year or so to optimize.

It has a DVI to VGA converter, it has a SLI connector, it has a back plate, it uses PCI-E and it supports DX11. I don't see why a card would have all the things a regular video card has and not be for gaming. Nvidia announced it to be the first Nvidia DX11 GPU. That means gaming.

@TonkatrainHONKHONK I agree with that, borders don't really exist while you're in a cabin at HAWX or DIRT2 and peripheral vision do help a lot at games with enemies everywhere. If you combine Eyefinity and EAX, results are amazing and u will perceive the guy coming to you with a knife from the side at shooters ;)

@alexambulance24 No EACH monitor isn't running 5760x3240 as those 30" monitors are only capable of 2560x1600 max. I know coz I own the DELL monitor in the centre. (3008WFP). The 3 monitors combined together may be a total size of 5760x3240 or more probably.
