Mother's Day Peanut Butter Banana French Toast

Показать описание
That special day for moms everywhere is this Sunday. Time to relax, time to hang out with family, and time to indulge with this peanut butter banana french toast!
This recipe for a blender-utilized French toast dipping batter is simple enough to let the kids scoop, measure and blend, then dip the bread and place it into the heated pan.
Ingredients:
-- 2 large eggs
-- ½ cup cream, (whipping or heavy whipping)
-- ¼ cup creamy peanut butter
-- 1 tsp vanilla extract
-- 2 Tbsp butter
-- 1 loaf challah or French bread, sliced into 1-inch slices
(6 to 8 pieces)
-- 2 bananas, sliced
-- honey, for drizzling
Directions:
-- In a blender, add the eggs, cream, peanut butter, and vanilla. Blend
until smooth. Pour the dipping batter into a low, wide bowl.
-- Heat a griddle or large skillet to medium heat. Add 1 tablespoon
butter.
-- Dip bread slices into the batter (both sides) and place into the
heated pan. Cook until the first side of the French toast is lightly
browned (about 3 minutes), then flip and cook the other side an
additional 2 to 3 minutes, until lightly browned on that side too.
Remove the French toast to a platter, and continue the process with
the remaining ingredients until you run out of batter.
-- Plate the French toast and top with bananas and a drizzle of honey.
