Humble Games -- New Indie Game Publisher

Humble, of Humble Bundle fame, are now launching a publishing arm called Humble Games, and they've already published some pretty high profile indie game titles. They are also running a charity sale featuring most of the games they have already published.

I wouldn't call this a bad experience with Humble, but it's something that's worth mentioning.
With the Synty Bundle from February and basically any Dev Bundle that contains assets for Unreal Engine or Unity, there is no updates. so if the creator adds some content or fixes issues with the assets, you do not get those.

Humble are one of very few companies I've never had a problem with. I've heard sometimes there's a problem with key resellers that ends up actually costing devs money, but since I've never considered buying a second hand key, I've never directly experienced any problems with them.

Tbh, I think all they want is more power to the Humble brand. I don’t think they want the same thing out of it as other publishers. They probably want the ability to stick your game in bundles rather than waiting for developers and other publishers to donate their game to Humble.

I think that the new Monthly Bundle is not as good as it used to be. Often, their book bundles (esp in game dev) are slightly obsolete.But apart from thos two "gripes" I have to admit I still buy their bundles and I'm happy to give to charity and content creators.

Humble is only bad if you consider it bad to have too many games you haven't played.

If Humble was a Stars Wars character they’d def be a jedi, while G2A would be a sith. Buying from Humble is like being your own secret Santa. Everytime I open my games library I’m confused as to where these random unplayed games came from.

Just bought Slay the Spire from Humble and wondering - Do we have to use steam with it? I guess I assumed they were competing with Steam haha oops.

I am not sure I understand how it works in the publishing world but if I look on steam Mega Crit Games is the dev and publisher for slay the spire.

Approved for a kit? Didn’t micro soft have a kit for public consumption? If I was Sony or Microsoft I would sell them kits on a web site and boxed up in stores as well for the older and older school folks.
