Opel Vectra C GTS trunk lid handsfree opening-closing with foot movement

I ordered DC12V Infrared Light Switch from this site:

And then I made a simple electronics,
which only closes for a moment,
like the open button.

And I connected it to the car's opening button.

Easier using ya hand and i say that in the nicest possible way lol...what if youre pissed and u left a crate of beer in the boot theres no way ya getting that out without ending up on deck 😅

Can you provide more details on how you did it? What do you have mounted under the trunk shelf?
