Thanks for dropping this video. I use the dropper on my office chair when navigating office quagmires.

I'm an older, recreational mountain biker, and prefer more gently rolling terrain to steep climbs and drops. I also live in a hilly city, where you're constantly changing from riding uphill to downhill and back again. I had a dropper post installed on my hardtail last fall, and it's made riding so much easier, especially on my aging knees. The old seatpost could only be raised and lowered by dismounting and then wrestling with the clamp. Rather than deal with that, I used to split the difference and ride with the seat about halfway up, which was a bit too low for climbing comfortably, and a bit too high for descending. The dropper post is a true game changer for me. I can go from downhill to uphill smoothly and efficiently, without missing a pedal stroke.

The humble dropper post has gotta be up the list of "things that make bikes awesome".
They're so good I stuck one in my little shredders 20" hardtail. Makes an absolute world of difference for them.
MVDP should watch and rewatch the footage of Jolanda attacking the Izu course. Technical perfection and not a single face full of grass to be seen.

Best innovation in biking since the wheel. All bikes should have a dropper. My wife's custom steel Rodriguez Phinney Ridge gravel bike is designed around a dropper post.

Couldn’t do without a dropper post on my trail bike. I can see the value in them for gravel bikes too for technical trails.

i use my dropper very dynamically as well when pedalling i like to keep my seat level with my bars it seems to be the most efficient

I ride my xc to train, Dh to race and enduro to have a good time with friends, only my enduro has a dropper, and it's only a cheap one, but boy does it make a difference.

I got my first trail bike and dropper post a few weeks ago, and now I'm thinking about getting one for my gravel/allroad bike. Even going downhill on a road makes a huge difference to lower your ass and get aero...

Reverbs used to come with an 'enduro collar'....a, silver piece to clamp onto the shaft to limit the drop....yes, limit drop. They don't include them now.... I have a couple in a spares box somewhere.... never seen one used...

Maybe move the mic, all I can hear every 2 seconds is Neil gasping for air!

im putting one on my ebike, so if i am not pedaling at all, i can lower the seat and cruise, but if i feel like pedaling i can raise it back up for proper leg extension

Carrera Fury 2021- dropper post ready?
No, dropper included standard.
That's some nice value for a £650 bike.
I'm pushing 60 and getting on a bit, so it's nice not to have to lift my leg over the high saddle position. Dismounting is so much easier too.
I like to rub the actuator on those gnarly climbs. It means you have an emergency option instead of putting a foot down straight away. Best bike accessory, defo.

My new ebike there came with 150mm Fox transfer I think it's annoying as heck trying to get it back to that good ride high again after been dropped, it takes a few shots faffing around with it to get it back to the hight I feel best with it at! It would be great if they designed something for the lever like a limit screw so can be set to rise to your best comfortable leg position everytime!

Good tips.
I'm interested in your tire setup, do you run inserts an what pressures are you currently on? Would be nice if you have the time to answer.

I used quick release before I got a dropper and once forgot to put the seat down and went off a drop with the seat up. That was the day I ordered a dropper post!
