I usually use a zip tie since their cheap and easy to work out on the water. I'll have to try the heat shrink tube next

Classic fishing tip my pap used to do that all the time out on the boat he used to slay the bass and I'll use the same thing and not catch anything 😂

For anyone wondering, you can use a lighter. Just hold the flame in the middle of the tubing for a few seconds. Then, blow on it to cool it down. If you keep heating it it WILL melt the worm. I’ll make a vid if you want

I was pretty excited about this when I recently tried it. My worm lasts longer by a few fish, but it was hard to get that shrink tube off the hook when the worm broke.

I have a bunch of these shrink tubes from when I got bitten by the drone hobby bug. Glad to know it serves my new hobby as well

VMC makes wide band elastics with bi directional pilot holes which do exactly that, and theyre relatively inexpensive and dont require heat guns. Great tip though!

I can use them a lot more then 8 or 9 bass if you put an o-ring on it

I do the same thing with just some duct tape it’s not nearly 9 fish but about 4-5 I’ll definitely have to try this out
