Filmed October 6, 2015, at the ULI Fall Meeting in San Francisco.

Airbnb began in 2008, when two designers who had space to share hosted three travelers looking for a place to stay. Now, millions of hosts and travelers choose to create a free Airbnb account so they can list their space and book unique accommodations anywhere in the world.

Hear from cofounder Brian Chesky about how using technology and the desire for a sharing economy have made a huge impact on the travel and tourism industry and what it means for “traditional” hotel development. Joining Chesky is Connie Moore, former president and CEO of BRE Properties, who ties this success and lessons learned to the real estate community.

Speakers:

* Dan Spiegel of Colliers International
* Brian Chesky of Airbnb
* Constance B. Moore

Brian Chesky is really cool. What is really fun about the guy with a suit who did introduction in the beginning: he is not able to remember few words without a paper?

Back to 2015, This looks to be leading to co living developments. Unfortunately the co living bedrooms are so small so far that the future is not as bright as it could have been. I would high light really bad bathroom set ups crammed into bedrooms.
