I like that the jeans you show here are truly straight and not loose. I won't be buying "mom jeans" no matter how much they might end up trending, so it's nice to see choices that are not loose/bulky. Straight leg jeans are my favorites, especially those that fit closer to the body. These are all great looks and are easy to duplicate. Thank you for the inspiration!

Thank you for offering some great suggestions. Naturally, not every look or colour will suit every taste. My favourite outfit was the one with the long navy cardigan/jacket with the scarf draped around the shoulders. So classy. Talbots is my go-to for “classic” style with a contemporary twist. I watch for their sales events, and have rarely been disappointed.

Loved all the outfits! I own only straight leg and bootcut jeans because they have always flattered my body. Light colored jeans don’t do much for me. You look great in everything! Also I want to say a big thank you for the suggestion at the beginning of the year of reading Charles Stanley life principle Bible. I gave it to my husband a few years ago, but he didn’t read it. Thanks for a lovely and practical video! Strangely enough, even though you mentioned that, typically, the J Jill line, does not give you the best fit, and in addition, the pair available to you were actually too large, —yet, to MY eye, they were, by far, THE most flattering of all the jeans on you! However, (I can not speak to how they felt.) and I truly loved the entire outfit wearing those jeans with the long blazer with the bird scarf peeking out around the entire inside length of the lapel. THAT scarf styling tip, alone, was more than worth the “price of admission”! —YOU ARE SUCH AN INVALUABLE RESOURCE, one I so look forward to gleaning from each week! I loved draping the scarf inside the blazer. I never thought of that but I love that look. I liked every jean, not too baggy but more fitted.

I have only recently found your channel and I have been really enjoying it.
I won’t be doing light wash jeans. They always seem to look old, scruffy and grungy. I did wear them back in the 70s but won’t be doing it again. I do really like the very dark wash or white jeans so I will be sticking with those.

This video is so helpful. I like Talbots but one reason I also shop at JJill is because they carry most of their items in Tall. I'm 5'11' and it's really challenging to find long pants and long shirts/jackets that fit well. I'm going to try those boyfriend jeans in tall and see how they do. If you're followers are looking for talls...JJill and Athleta are 2 really good options...and Banana Republic.

These are all great ideas! Another place I found to have great jeans with tummy control and great quality is Soft Surroundings. I don’t buy much else there, but their jeans are spot on. I wear petite size 8.
