This song really gives me goosebumps, so epic, I love it! It's really a difficult song to sing and also I don't speak German so there might be a lot of flaws in this cover, but I'm happy I've tried to sing it. I don't watch Attack on Titan though, since my weak heart can't handle too much violence & blood hahaha 😅

*please use headphones for better experience*

The best cover so far, for a few reasons:
- the tone n quality is practically similar to the original.
- the german pronunciation is spot on. I actly linked this vid to a few german-speaking commenters, and they actly understood the words being sung.

Its down to the language tbh. Im malaysian n speak the malay language. N malay muslims in general can read arabic (since we r taught to read the quran), so we can pronounce some of the hard “gh” that require the use of the back part of the tongue. And the german language has alot of these hard “gh”, ie: the word “heraus” or “verrat” need a hard “gh” at the “r” to pronounce correctly. Same goes for indonesians and the indonesian language. French n ofcourse arabic speakers can pull off german songs as well….

The Japanese language… not so much. And this all comes down to the how theyre taught to pronounce foreign non-japanese words phonetically: the hiragana and katakana have no way to pronounce the hard “gh”. Most if not all the phonetics in hiragana/katakana happen in the middle or the point of the tongue. Nothing near the back of the throat.

Also, the japanese language dont use the alphabets (duh) n rely on hiragana/katakana phonetics, so alot of specific phonetics r missing.

The clear example of this is the anime title “chivalry of a failed knight”. That anime had a mistranslated japanese title. “Rakudai kishi no kyabaruri”.
“Kyababuri” was suppose to translate to “chivalry” but it was translated to “cavalry”
“Cavalry of a failed knight” makes zero sense, but somebody jumbled up the translation.

Another example is the word “lover” and “robber”. They practically have the same phonetics when written in katakana/hiragana. N its not helping thats theres no hiragana/katakana for the “v” or “l” sound, so whats written is “ra-ba” for both the words “robber” and “lover”.

I noticed that the choirs (especially the last one) is the most hard part to many singers. But i think you did so well

Alles Lebendige stirbt eines Tages

Ob wir zum Sterben bereit sind oder nicht,

der Tag kommt sicher

Ist das der Engel, der vom dämmernden Himmel hinunter flog?

Ist das der Teufel, der aus der Felsenspalte heraus kroch?

Tränen, Ärger, Mitleid, Grausamkeit.

Frieden, Chaos, Glaube, Verrat.

Wir werden gegen unser Schicksal ankämpfen

It's really challenging for me to sing the high note part, where it sounds like a child screaming in pain not physically, but his heart. 2:20

2:30-2:31 is the best voice transition from high to low...
