I’ll show you how to add code to the head tag in WordPress. I’ll show two ways to add code to the header. There is a lot of software that asks you to add some JavaScript (JS) or CSS there, like Google Analytics, Tag Manager, or your email marketing software.

There are two methods of achieving this and both are easy to do even for non-coders.

I used same plugin, but it gives me code options for removing comments, removing email things, adding default code--nothing that shows to add snippets. I also had to navigate to the plugin itself, it did not just pop up in my settings--what might I be doing wrong? I only did this because I go to a page on WP and try to find the <head> code they say to enter after and there is nothing like that. I ONLY found it on my header.php in my theme settings.

Google just sends me down rabbit holes every time I try one thing, 7 others errors/requirements pop up!

Thank you for the explanation. Would a the Rank Math and Yoast SEO plugin be safe to add a tag without a child theme? Or is it better to use the plugin you recommended? I need to do it for Pinterest verification.

Attempted both to no avail. I'm trying to verify my workplace's website on Pinterest, but so far, nothing has worked. When I copy the meta data and paste it into the relevant places, I go back to Pinterest to verify the URL of the website and it comes up with "no meta data tag was found." What am I doing wrong?
