भीतरकनिका राष्ट्रीय उद्यान (Bhitarkanika National Park) 📍भारत के ओड़िशा राज्य के केन्द्रापड़ा ज़िले में स्थित एक राष्ट्रीय उद्यान है। यह 145 वर्ग किमी (56 वर्ग मील) पर फैला हुआ है।
📍इसे 16 सितम्बर 1998 को सन् 1975 में निर्धारित एक केन्द्रीय क्षेत्र को लेकर नामांकित करा गया और 19 अगस्त 2002 को इसे रामसर स्थल का दर्जा मिल गया।
📍 ओड़िशा में चिल्का झील के बाद यह दूसरा रामसर स्थल है। यह राष्ट्रीय उद्यान भीतरकनिका वन्य अभयारणय (Bhitarkanika Wildlife Sanctuary) से घिरा हुआ है
📍जो स्वयं एक 672 वर्ग किमी (259 वर्ग मील) के क्षेत्रफल पर विस्तारित है। पूर्व में गहीरमथा बालूतट और समुद्री अभयारण्य है, जो इसके दलदल और मैन्ग्रोव से ढके क्षेत्र को बंगाल की खाड़ी से अलग करता है।
📍 ब्राह्मणी, बैतरणी, धामरा और पाठशाला नदियाँ राष्ट्रीय उद्यान और अभयारण्य को जल पहुँचाती हैं।
📍यहाँ कई मैन्ग्रोव जातियाँ हैं और यहाँ का भीतरकनिका मैन्ग्रोव पारिक्षेत्र भारत का दूसरा सबसे बड़ा मैन्ग्रोव पारिक्षेत्र है। राष्ट्रीय उद्यान में खारे पानी के मगरमच्छ, भारतीय अजगर, नाग, काला बाज़ा (आइबिस पक्षी), डार्टर (पनकौआ) और कई अन्य प्राणी व वनस्पति जातियाँ पाई जाती हैं।[1]

🍀obtained the status of a Ramsar site on 19 August 2002, surrounded by Bhitarkanika Wildlife Sanctuary
🍀The national park and wildlife sanctuary is inundated by the rivers Brahmani, Baitarani, Dhamra, Pathsala.
🍀It is second largest mangrove ecosystem in India.
🍀The national park is home to Saltwater crocodile (Crocodylus porosus), Indian python, king cobra, black ibis, darters.
🍀The area is also been designated as second Ramsar site of the State after the Chilika Lake.
