A bit late finding this, but your analysis of what makes Rita and Eli's music so special is perfect. Thank you for it. The ease with which this beauty is generated is itself astonishing. Both are so accomplished that we are instantly put at ease ourselves. And Rita, who had no formal singing lessons, had, rather, lots of practical experience. Indeed, she sings in a manner like she is talking to you and in the highest emotional pieces (where she excels) it is the very dynamics of human speech, without the usual scoops swoops and trills of trained singers that gives her renditions an emotional narrative honesty. "Blame it on my youth" shows her not a singer singing about a sad event, but as a women hurt in Love...

The woman creates art of an almost vertiginous power. "Tantas Cosas".
