This 13:20 lecture covers the fundamental electric and magnetic dipoles for use later in electromagnetics.

Question: Presumably the figure at 8:30 represents a limit as d\to 0 but qd is kept constant.
But the two sets of curves- equipotentials and lines of force- are not orthogonal, so they do not come from harmonic conjugate functions. Why is that not a contradiction? Thanks!
