Actual experience, I am from Germany and will let you know what my dad DID IN 1946 AT THE END OF WWII
He was a plumber by trade but also produced some jewellery mostly earrings which consumed a lot of silver wire
When the Reichsmark collapsed there was no currency available for several months
People were unable to buy necessities, particularly food, My Dad was able to visit farmers and barter his silver wire for
produce, and he was able to obtain sufficient food that any excess our family did not need he was able to barter for other items such as clothing, toiletries etc. Needless to say, we had sufficient food that we were not starving.
If something similar happens now it may be a bit more difficult but swapping will be the only way to go forward
Hope this will help somewhat

It's not a matter of "if" there is a currency collapse it's just a matter of when.

I'm in Amish country, it's a forgone conclusion 'round these parts. Eagles, silver dollars, 90%, Maples and brass are all popular.

Finally someone actually addresses the most obvious question that anyone should ask if they are attempting to secure their assets by investing in precious metals. You are literally “the only” stacker that is willing to address this!

Solid video. Ever since the shenanigans of the start of 2020 I researched the fall of Venezuela‘s currency. So I just been stacking assets that increased in massive value during their down fall. Gold, silver, long term food storage and seeds. All things I can barter with my locals peeps. Also…I have been building out my local community with people that have similar ideologies as me. So I have a doctor…chiropractor…local person that grows veggies and local butcher. They all will accept metals for services. You gotta put the time and effort to secure success in the future.

I agree silver & gold will be used to trade. When going to trade....be armed & aware!

I think it will be used for barter just like they are presently doing in Venezuela. Gold and silver are Gods money. Haggai 2:8 "The silver is mine and the gold is mine says the Lord".Precious metals have always had value and always will.

Tools, supplies, and skills will be currency. I think acquiring them all is ideal. That being said when you can't do it yourself and need to outsource, then bartering off your skills, extra tools or surplus supplies would be the first option personally. When you have nothing to flat out trade, this is where silver and gold really come in. Honestly this is how a lot of my friends and family already operate, with cash being the last form of payment.

This is why they say a community will be your greatest ally after the collapse. They would need to set up a trading post where everyone would come to barter. It would need to have good security. Also, it may be beneficial to have some type of rating system for the buyers & sellers. If they don't score well you simply don't invite them back. The whole post should be ran by a panel of respected and verified community members.

Well I checked something out.. since Argentina cut its currency in half. I can’t remember the current trade value, but I could trade 50 oz silver for a 3 bedroom home on 5 acres with a 2 car garage..

Having some Junk Silver (1964 & earlier US Coins) of various denominations would solve this issue. Large bars could be saved for purchasing land or paying taxes and the Junk Silver for groceries, gas and other lesser transactions.

I''m stacking my way to 300 ounces of just silver dimes. I have also made a book out of a range of silver spot prices showing the silver price per ounce and the value of a silver dime. With this I hope to show people the value of a silver dime at the varying prices.

In my opinion stack constitutional silver mostly dimes. We need to stop thinking of the word dollar and start thinking in grams when the dollar is worthless. ( how much is that tank of gas worth? 15gr ) What determines the value or worth of something is supply and demand. One dollar and forty cents in 90% junk silver = 28.35gr/ One dime is 7.075gr etc.

Good video. Good content to think over. Two thoughts, if I may share:
•Fractional gold & silver: there are many who give a bunch of flack for this. I definitely do fractional. IF there ever is a SHTF situation, it will be needed. Not having fractional is like saying that you should stack cash for an emergency, but only all in 100 dollar bills only. Definitely have fractional.
•I have my regular schedule buys for gold & silver. Over the past 2 years I’ve also added 2 other metals on my “Metals Buy” days, lead & brass. You can never have too much gold & silver, and you can never be over-protected.
Nice video brother!

I stack for the inevitable, but I know very very very few people who know the value of silver or even constitutional silver. Sad

Silver as a currency substitute for daily living in this scenario. 1oz Silver would likely buy £20 of groceries or fuel. If currency fails, then food price will rise rapidly but so will value of silver and Gold. Just harder to spend say a Gold Sovereign valued at £400. Keep gold as an alternative long term storage of your currency and try to pay off as many debts as you can now.

I'm glad you put this video out because this is a reality that a lot of people don't think about.. but if you ask me.... I think the better commodity to have is food and water.

I'm a senior, Canadian prepper and been stacking for 5 years. We bought quite a few 1 oz RCM coins to barter with as well as an electronic kitchen scale and a Dremel tool to cut then up into quarters if necessary. That said, I can lock my doors and shelter in place for 3-6 months if necessary. And yes, we have previous metals including lead. I made some suggestions a few minutes ago to get people thinking and focusing on actions they can take now. Good luck and God bless.🙏✝️💕

Having worked in retail for a good portion of my life, my first thought when I began stacking was exactly this, how am I going to make change. It didn't hurt that the eBay Live dealer I started buying from was giving away a 1g Valcambi break-away with every order. I also started stacking constitutional silver for this purpose as well. Great video.
