I have always loved this battle theme ever since I first heard it in the game years ago. Super catchy and just rocks so damn hard. I never get tired of listening to this song.

Ooohhh... I see what the composer is doing finally... The melody and the bassline either starts early or hangs over when he transitions to a new section, creating this syncopation that gives the music an intense quality that feels like it never stops for a breath, and just keeps going... Except when it does stop, where he punctuates either with a big chord/lead on the new part, and a drum break on the old, which comes off like a sudden kick to the head.

Wataru Ishibashi really seems to have a great handle of how to create a sense of overwhelming speed in music.

This is a top 2 or 3 ys boss theme for me. It's full of energy and hype you to fight the boss throughout the entire fight. I think I'd rank 8 at number 1 for sheer variety of good themes, then put this one at or above origin as my favorite boss theme.
