The level of detail of distant objects is much more pleasing than modern games. My main gripe with modern games is how obvious the blurry and flat textures are on objects away from you. Some games do it well like AC or souls games or rdr2, but they still have some of jarring distance control. You spend a lot of time looking at things in the distance in games, do idk why devs are not taking more card for it.

People who say that there is no ray tracing here. It's purely because it's set on an island. The only light source is the sun and the sky. It's way more visible in Crysis 2 because at times it has hundreds of light sources on screen st the same time.

It's just high res textures + reshade… that's it.

Edit contrast and exposure levels, add a bit of hdr, add hi res textures.. And then call it raytracing
