Our withings scale was great. You could track your weight, body fat, and heart rate over time on nice graphs through the app or a webpage. Then it stopped being able to connect via wifi after about a year and half (and yes, I troubleshooted everything and downloaded all the updates). Now, it's basically a $150 scale without the ability to track anything unless I write it down on a notepad myself.

You can use it on any surface, but is it still accurate?

This is clearly a paid advertisement. Those resistive scanners are terribly inaccurate and change on resistance such as slightly wetter skin. Did you test the accuracy across surfaces? did you test the actually body fat measurements, its just one of those cheap scales with wifi built in and a premium price tag.
