I attended 2 powwows as a 9-year-old and I was blown away by the power, the love, the pride of heritage, and the openness there. I would dance along on the sidelines and was not only invited, but very much welcomed to come out and join in the dancing at both powwows. They are some of my favorite memories, and the inclusiveness I experienced there makes me so proud to share humanity with those people.

Watching this make feel a lot of emotions. So proud that the REAL AMERICANS still celebrate their culture and keep passing their traditions thru generations.

I remember going to my first powwow as a child. Feeling the drums beating within me and tears running down my cheeks.
Such a spiritual feeling for a young person. I didn’t know the cause of my emotions, As an adult I now know my ancestors spoke to me saying not to fear and be proud of where I’m from. ✊🏽♥️✨

As a gypsy I feel your spirit
as a seaman I carry your memory
as a human being I wish you peace
All under the same sky.

This music always makes my soul weep for my ancestors. I want to attend one of these days and sing and dance until I can't anymore.

I hope this culture never dies. I hope it grows bigger and stronger until it burns so bright it erases everything wrong with the world and reigns in peace, love, and strength.

I feel so happy to see men carrying their babies and holding the hands of the children. That’s what’s most important

I wanted to watch this after my professor of Native Writing told us about this just today for our introductory class to the paper for this semester in college. Not even five minutes in and I started to tear up, I just love how everybody is celebrating their culture. Much love from a twenty-something who loves knowing more about history and culture 💜

I’m from El Salvador, Central America but I reside in Indiana, USA 🇺🇸 and we have such great respect and admiration for your culture and ancestors. I attended to my first Powwow last year and absolutely loved everything about it ❤ the dances, drums and everything just connects with your soul.

Seeing this reminds me of when I was a young boy my Grandmother would take me to tribe "pow wows" and seeing everyone dressed up. the elders would take us young kids and dress us up and we would dance all night long.

As a Hispanic woman, I ALWAYS loved learning about native americans, I loved watching their Pow Wow shows if that’s appropriate to say “shows” but yk! I love it so very much. When I went to my brothers graduation i felt pure joy looking at the beautiful natives came to the graduation. The sons or daughter i can’t remember had dollars on them. It was just beautiful. :)
