Hi Dr Rena . First I want to say I love your content . Next to comment on this video . I had done my research and reversed my vasectomy after 18 years from my first marriage and 3 children . I am remarried and I am now 54 years old and have two children from this marriage . Both boys one turns two years old and the other is 4 months old . The worst decision I have ever made was to get the vasectomy in the first place and the best decision was to get it reversed! Thank you for what you do !

Dr Rena said it exactly. The vas deferens is very small. It would probably take a vascular surgeon to put it back together. Plus lots of money 😀

Worst thing i ever did was have a vasectomy. Its left me with chronic pain now for 7 years.
I had a reversal and it blocked over again in 1 month. Cost me 10k

Almost thirty years later, and no regrets whatsoever... Many girlfriends later have stated, "I think I'm prego"... Honey, it wasn't me...:) I always love the last laugh... BAWHAHAHA!!! Best $50 co-pay I ever spent in my entire life!!!

My wife and I were completely in agreement after our 3rd child was born, and we’ve immensely enjoyed the last 21 years, we were 30 at the time. Never planned to go back.

You might be asking the question in the future: are vasectomies still legal ?

I don't know why a lot of people think that a vasectomy is like turning off and on water at the end of the day is still a surgery yes it's reversible but with any surgery it's complications with that. now if the patient wasn't planning on having any kids in the future that would be a good option for them but if they have a plan for the future for kids maybe not go with that route.

I had a reversal at 61 and my wife was pregnant about 2 months after.
I was 37 when I had the vasectomy.
She had a miscarriage but now in 2022 she is 5 months pregnant with a baby boy.
We will name him Mathew not knowing at the time it means a gift from GOD

Also, sometimes reversals are only good for a window of time, after which the tubes close due to scar tissue build-up. As I understand it, it's not like an ON/OFF switch.
