Actually Middle and North Turkey accents and pronouncations are more closer to Middle Asia Turkic dialetcs. Thats way we understand Uzblek and Turkmen dialects better than İstanbul or izmir natives. First couple days it"s a bit difficult to understand turkic languages but after couple day getting more easly .

I went to a summer school in Kastamonu for two months to study Turkish. Now I finally understand why I didn't understand anything 😆

Very interesting. I travelled to so many parts of Turkey when I lived there but never to Kastamonu. This is the first time I hear the accent and some words sound like Farsi. I like these types of videos on your channel, you're teaching us many things and none of us is ever too old to learn.

So funny that some words in Kastamonu lahjasi sound exactly like in Uzbek, but original versions are not close at all 😁
Greetings and the best ✊🏻

You seem a little more relaxed when speaking Kastamonu Turkish. I was born in the US state of Oklahoma where a distinctive dialect of English is spoken. I'm mostly used to speaking in Mid-Atlantic English now but, the Oklahoma still comes out sometimes lol!

Very interesting! To me, some sounds remind me of Persian. The ones that stood out to me were غ/gh (kaşık->ghaşogh) and ق/q (Kastamonu->Qastamonu), not to mention a differentiation between long aa/آ (like in Kaastamonu) and a short a/ َ (like in ama).

My friend from Konya also pronounces the K as a G. Kalem-->Galem

Recently I started watching Çukur, & one of the things that interests me in that is the way Vartolu pronounces the letter 'k', he says it like 'خ' in Persian! For example, everytime he says 'çok', I hear 'چوخ'! How can you explain it?

BTW, 'bilmiyorum' is my favorite word in Turkish, not only the sound of it is beautiful, but the way Turkish people say it is just amazing! 😍

İ feel the Kastamonu one is more relaxed and more close to the old original Turkish accent (the one spoken at the ottoman time ❤️) I wish to learn one-day inşallah
