Sonic Frontiers Prologue Animated Short Reaction & Analysis - Knuckles Is Back!

Sonic Frontiers: Prologue Divergence is finally here. The highly anticipated animated short starring the famous character Knuckles has arrived and gives us a solid look at the story and events leading up to the forthcoming game's story. In this video, I give my reaction to the short and my thoughts on it and where things go from here!

Honestly there was not a moment where I wasn't smiling throughout this whole thing. This was just such a good redemption for Knuckles! I love that the characters are now getting the treatment they deserve! And I love Knuckles' new VA. Really suites him well! Also this animation artstyle reminds me of a mix between the IDW comics and DBS Broly. I INSANELY dig this. I honestly think this might be my favorite of the game shorts.

One of my favorite things about this animation that a lot of people are talking about are the music cues. When knuckles finds the gear and helps the Choa you can hear sky sanctuary being softly played on the piano. The battle music is being played when knuckles fights the ninjas. And when you see sage you can actually hear the music that was being played during the game awards trailer

Theory time! Angel Island is one of the Starfall Islands, except it's the only island that didn't fall - hence why they're called the star-fall islands (because they fell from the stars).

It was an amazing short and a fantastic way to bring Knuckles into the game. Nice Easter egg to Sonic Adventure-in this. I cannot wait to see how it unfolds in the upcoming video game Sonic Frontiers.

I love this Prologue and it did Knuckles, Angel Island, Sky Sanctuary, the Music, the Chao, the Animation, and the Franchise's and Adventure Lore Really Well and Sets Up Frontiers to make it Hyped, Only 7 Days Left.

I like how Sage was like Tikal calling Knuckle’s attention, but instead Sage leads people into traps

I love how this connects Frontiers to the lore of adventure and even Sonic 3. I hope the connection between Starfall and Angel Islands are explored and expand on Sonic lore. Ive been saying Sonic has to take a page from Kingdom Hearts in that it can ve a franchise that keeps us coming back not only by fun gameplay, but also a compelling ongoing storytelling - thats one of the main reasons why adventure era was so loved and the “meta” era was so lacking.

So, im really hopeful. Love everything about Frontiers i’ve seen so far.

This was dream come true I’ve always wanted something like this with Ian as the writer and Tyson as the animator not to mention I’ve got a theory that what if the echidna tribe wasn’t killed but rather trapped?

The things that I loved the most in this prologue:
1: they made knuckles's characters as it was in the adventure games wich was the best for him and what it matter is protecting the master emerald and he is questioning himeself like who is he and why is he like this.
2: knuckles questioning who built the shrine of the master emerald and where did he/they go and what is the origin of the master emerald along with the chaos emeralds and I hope they mention this in the end of frontiers or they can make a whole story about it for sonic adventure 3 wich will be something very cool.
3: knuckles fighting those enemies was like an shonen anime fighting scene and it was BADASS and they showed his power by simply him breaking a whole chunk of the floating island he was fighting on.
4: I wonder how that portal existed in sky sanctuary?
