Raging Steve Clarke has demanded an explanation as to why Scotland were denied a penalty during their heartbreaking defeat to Hungary.

A 100th minute goal from Kevin Csoboth broke Tartan Army hearts in Stuttgart as yet again, the Scots were sent home from the Euro 2024 party at the culmination of the group stage as the Hungarians wait to see if their three point haul will be enough for them to sneak through from Group A as one of the best third placed sides.

After Scotland huffed and puffed for the majority of the game without looking like scoring, they were brighter after the introduction of Stuart Armstrong and Lawrence Shankland.

Scotland will whinge about the penalty for years to excuse the fact they are not up to the standard for international tournaments.

We were quite comfortably the weakest/ poorest side in the competition. We don’t possess the quality of player to progress in major competitions sadly.

Clarke can huff and puff all he likes at the line of questioning, however in the grand scheme of things this was failure and he was in charge. We capitulated with barely a whimper and the sooner he accepts that the sooner we can move on with him or without him in situ.
Besides he has more money in his wallet than 8 weeks ago, while the rest of us have a lot less.😢

How can you wait until the last 10 minutes to have a go. I thought the referee was fair to both teams and we had the majority of the ball in our own half. Cmon Steve.

Wasn't a penalty. The player fouled him first them cowardly tried to manufacture a penalty rather than try to socre. Probably on instruction.

Scotland & Hungary poorest teams in competition. If he stays, he must explain his future tactics etc & what he is going to change in the future. Very weak questions he had to face there from the media.
