Not that it happens often. But if I have tortillas that have gotten a bit old, I cut them in small pieces, add a bit of olive oil and spices and pop them in the air fryer. Quick "homemade" tortilla chips 😁

Air fryers are mini convection ovens, so anything that works in an oven should work in an air fryer.

Great ideas! I use olive spray oil on my 'toasties' in the air fryer and they come out soooo crispy!

I wonder if the pancakes would have worked if you kept them in there longer like 10-15 mins. It's not a frying pan.

The pancake one looked more fluffy like the fluffy Japanese pancake and maybe try making the batter like that it needs more baking powder to rise up and don't stack them on top of each other

Fun and delicious experiments!
In the U.S. the cake mixes use white sugar, the super white kind that's made with bones in the refining process. So not so vegan-friendly.

I have made dinner rolls in the air fryer from scratch and they worked just fine so I’m not surprised that the cupcakes worked. But I do like the idea of making a cupcake or two from batter kept in the refrigerator. It might help me not eat so many at once. L O L
