No way take that "a car that always deserves an engine swap" back. The rotary is what makes a 7 a 7. Without it it loses its soul.

LS Swapped BRZ / FRS / 86 is my dream build.
Sikky Manufacturing did a few videos on it and showed that there wasn't much weight gain (I think less than 200lbs) and the weight distribution was near perfect. And you get to keep HVAC, power steering, and even the stock dash and cruise control.

If they remove the dashboard and shorten the tail shaft the engine can be moved 10cm - 20cm back to correct the weight distribution and lighten the steering geometry and improve traction. The inside I would totally remove everything but the seats and put in a roll cage.

I had the choice with my FD to swap when I blew the original 13B. Everyone told me to go LS or 2JZ. $13k later and I had a ~500rwhp built Semi Peripheral Port 13B with a 74mm turbo, and still had power steering and AC as well as the original 50/50 weight distribution. The main downside was even with 13" wide wheels with 305s on the rear, she would still break traction easily. 350-400hp is plenty fast for an FD.

I had a turbo LS FD back in the day. Mine had P/S, but no heat, no AC. It was ROUGH. Also just spun everywhere under 60mph. Older, a little wiser, now I built a 1000hp R33 GTR. A/C, P/S, AWD, sequential. Literally ticks EVERY box. Only twice the price 🤣
