Kamal Haasan Congratulates Udhayanidhi Stalin For Becoming Tamil Nadu's Deputy Chief Minister

Tamil Nadu is set to witness another 'son rise' as State Sports Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, the son of Chief Minister MK Stalin and DMK's Youth Wing Secretary, has been made the new Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.

Udhayanidhi's elevation has been speculated since January but was stalled for multiple reasons, one of which was the BJP targeting him over his ‘Sanathana Dharma' remarks, which forced even INDIA bloc leaders to distance themselves from him. His elevation was once again delayed due to the Parliament elections, which were then followed by the Kallakurichi hooch tragedy that claimed 66 lives.

Now, we see Udhayanidhi Stalin, with no prior political experience, being appointed as Deputy Chief Minister solely due to his family's influence, particularly his father and grandfather. It's perplexing to see Tamil Nadu's electorate, who previously criticized leaders like Edappadi and Annamalai, now endorsing this political dynasty. The cycle of widespread corruption and freebie culture is likely to continue, and it appears the same people may go on to support the rise of Inbanidhi as Deputy Chief Minister and Udhayanidhi as Chief Minister without any hesitation.
