HELLDIVERS™ 2 is a 3rd person squad-based shooter that sees the elite forces of the Helldivers battling to win an intergalactic struggle to rid the galaxy of the rising alien threats. From a 3rd person perspective, players use a variety of weapons (pistols, machine guns, flamethrowers) and stratagems (turrets, airstrikes, etc.) to shoot and kill the alien threats. Players can also aim down the sights for a more accurate 1st person camera view. Combat is accompanied by frequent sprays of blood and dismemberment as players exterminate the alien forces or players and squad mates are hit by environmental explosions or friendly fire. Enemy encampments and battlefield environments depict bloodstains and dismembered corpses.

I think this could be a great move, if he's a dev turned CEO he'll probably love moving back. Hopefully the new CEO doesn't make crap moves.

I honestly think this is a positive shift specifically because hes been very involved in talking with the community in a very corgal fasion. Time will tell 😊

The interesting detail that I think a lot of people are missing is that Pilstedt is moving to CCO, and bringing in a CEO, *but* Pilstedt is still the CHAIRMAN.

As the Chairman, the new CEO still answers to him and will be primarily tasked with executing his strategic goals. The fact that they are friends reinforces this dynamic.

Pilstedt has basically just brought in someone he trusts so that he has more time to focus on quality content.

Pilstedt could’ve brought him in with a lower title, but without the title of CEO he probably wouldnt have the needed clout to fence with organizations like SONY brass, etc. Also, the guy has loads of experience and if he does well should be compensated accordingly, so CEO title probably is a good fit as well.

I think the former CEO has the right idea on what the game should look like. With community interaction and more. To me, this reads that he wants more hands-on with the project that a CEO normally wouldn't be so invested in. Which I can respect taking a technical demotion to find into a better job-fit. Decisions like these is why overall, I hope the best for Arrowhead. Let's just hope they don't make me eat my words.

My worry is the negative spin other people on social media will take.

I can totally see "helldivers 2 CEO quits. Game in trouble?" And other negative stuff that might hurt their image.

This could be really good, or really bad, we just have to see how both Jorjani and Pilestedt do. Pilestedt caused massive confusion around PSN by removing the requirement and not being crystal clear about the requirement later on, and while I believe in second chances, I do not believe in forgetting about the first. And I hope Jorjani continues to be just as transparent as Pilestedt was when it came to the PSN debacle. Hopefully the future is bright, or at least brighter than it is now.
