With the Rimworld Anomaly DLC, we see a psychological horror theme added to Rimworld in what is arguably the most unique of the Rimworld expansions. A strange monolith is found on the map and things can soon devolve as horrifying entities appear and threaten the colony in ways never experienced before. In addition, Rimworld Anomaly also adds ways to contain these entities, dark new psychic rituals and a new ending to Rimworld.

Rimworld is a Sci-Fi colony builder simulation game focused on managing a small group of survivors with the goal of eventually building a space ship to escape the planet. Rimworld is developed and published by Ludeon Studios. After a successful Kickstarter campaign, the game went through several Alpha and Beta versions before seeing the release of the Rimworld 1.0 version in October 2018. This playthrough uses Rimworld 1.5, the latest update to the game.

Hey Pete, I know you’ve tried your hand at shorts before but I think this educational format is good for your channel. The anamoly DLC is pretty complicated but also fun and interesting. I look forward to seeing more of the adventures of the Paragons of Pandroth. 👍

Single sightstealers are a barely a threat but the scream event with their massive horde is basically designed to punish an open base design.
Sighstealer groups are especially deadly to isolated pawns - when you spot the attack, you should immediately retreat to a chokepoint.

Another thing that is important - they target eyes, as their name suggests. And wounds to eyes tend to create permanent scaring - keep that in mind when engaging them.

Sightstealers deal less damage per hit than unarmed pawns but their claws deal sharp damage, thsi is an important thing to note because that means they can cut your pawns, inflict bleeding and cause infections. Melee block these at your own risk.

I recently came back to Rimworld with a fun and well working Waster colony, Sightstealers wrecked all my plans when they appeared, since I went into the anomalies blind and had my fighting pawns away on a mission.

They were terrifying when i was playing with mp and they decided to spawn in the spectator team that caused 0.1FPS lag and constant errors that forced me to load an old save

Maybe it is just me but they tend to target heads and eyes above almost everything else so i thought that was also part of their behaviour

I think bionic, especially archotec, eyes should be able to see through their invisibility
