Paul used his Epiphone Casino and Martin 12-String. Denny Laine used his 1970's Fender Thinline Telecaster and an unknown acoustic. The entire song and album were recorded by just Paul, Denny and Linda in Lagos, Nigeria 1973. Their drummer and lead guitarist quit the band the night before they flew to Africa. They came back to London months later to finish the album at George Martin's AIR Studios

EASTER EGGS:
0:07 Denny doubles the a-b-a-b-a synth line on his tele with hammer-ons
0:21 Paul plays a single high E note instead of the E and B together
1:20 Paul's Casino is tuned down to Drop D for the 'if we ever get out of here' part
2:05 Denny starts on time with the horn line, Paul comes in two notes late on C
3:13 Paul's slide guitar is tuned to Open G, and there is a stereo delay on it

Gear Used:
2021 Epiphone Casino USA Royal Tan
2007 Fender American '52 Hot Rod Vintage Telecaster ('51 Nocaster Custom Shop Pickups)
1967 Gibson B-25-12 12 String Acoustic (prev. owned by Tommy Shaw!)

not many people know this, but the secret to an accurate mccartney tone is in the t shirt/vest combo.

Never seen (heard) ANYBODY get it right at 1:54. It's always been a mystery for me to play. Not anymore! Thank you!

Great rainy day song...another Paul McCartney "fabulous-musiced" song. I lost count on which one it is.

Mccartney as a song writer certainly has some mountain top experiences and this album and song are among those for me. Your video only accentuates that and also Denny Laine's abilities. This has become my favorite channel- thank you 🎯👍🤘🤌

I love listening to this, especially the trippy slide guitar parts at the end! Great job dissecting the different parts and instruments.

Takes a pretty talented musician to take popular songs you’ve heard all your life and make you appreciate them in new ways, great content as always

Started playing about 50 yr ago, as a guitarist, excellent. Been hooked on this for a week. I just knew it was a Gibson. (unmistakable sound) 🎵 I'm a Strat guy but they never could have worked for Wings. 🎶 Thanks for sharing. New Sub here. -☀️

Holy Macca! That was awesome! I was surprised when the 12 string came in and then I knew that I was watching a genius at work! It was nice that one of the fab 4 showed up to prove the accuracy!

Dear lord! I own all of the “ How to play the Beatles “ DVDs which were made very much like this ( split screen/ accurate guitars etc) very authentic and accurate, but what’s great about this is its Wings and taking it all into the next decade of McCartneys genius! Fantastic job mate!
