Haha. All this stuff like "support coding in schools" and "supporting immigrant workers" sounds great on the surface, but there is a deeper meaning, and of course it goes into their pockets:

1) Supporting coding in schools from a young age = targeting the deficit of good coders = bringing down software engineer salaries (eventually) since there are simply more of them who are good.

2) Immigrant workers are cheaper and work harder. Why wouldn't apple, a company who probably hires tons of h1bs support this cause?

Apple is no different to the others... a self serving tech company who prides itself on harvesting data for government whilst producing more and more tech that incorporates back doors and systems for harvesting meta data of users whilst releasing incremental updates that force you into a cycle of planned obsolescence.

apple just gives you a device, its just like a tool, a extremely powerful tool but they don't discriminate so they do practice what they preach.
