own a side small business we are not going to renew lease difficult to get good employees and landlord wants to raise rent so they can fix up a building that they have not fixed up in 30yrs we are not paying for it... plus business is 15% slower this year maybe more... restaurants in the area are slower they cost to much to eat at... the landlord can keep it and everyone will move out eventually... not enough profits to worry with it...

Where I live, the main boulevards that had a lot of businesses on them are mostly empty now. The vacancy rate is as high as 90%, so 1 in 10 shops are like empty.
