The session will ponder on the long-term impacts of participation in democracy, social change, civil society activities, corporate governance, and other areas. Practices that promote active and effective participation will be scrutinized and how they contribute to the future importance of participation will be discussed. It will also address how sustainable participation among different groups can be encouraged, the increasing role of digital participation, its successful examples as well as the challenges it faces.
