Vivitar FPV Duo Camera Racing Drone - Flight and Goggle Test

Alrighty Guys and Gals, today is the day we get to try out the FPV Duo!! Vivitar's First Person View drone sold at WalMart. I've flown alot of drones but never in FPV. There's a first time for everything!!! Let's see how it turned out!

Beware, no spare parts are available from the manufacturer (Vivitar).This is like building a car that has rims welded on so you cant replace tires. "One Key Unlock" does not work. Use both sticks down and inboard instead. The manual refers to the "Emergency" button pg 16 to shut off rotors in case of a crash or at touchdown of landing to stop rotors. There is no indication on controller layout Manual pg5 that shows. After three emails with tech support, they sent an updated manual image showing that it is the same as the "One key landing" button. Manual landing by reducing throttle until touchdown causes the vehicle to hop around a lot and the drone does not spin down rotors automatically and high risk of prop damage. After talking with tech support they said " Once you press the emergency button the drone should land steadily. You should press and hold the emergency button for a safe landing. " This does seem to work consistently if you land where you took off.

I was thinking of gluing one of those wide angle lens or fish eye to still see more around, but then I thought maybe it will blur the lens because the camera doesn't have autofocus? Or would it work if is one of those camera that have infinite focus? Just thinking outloud

I just bought the exact drone an hour ago but I'm wondering about the stability and I just realized its only 720p🙄 Im trying to shoot music videos with it but Im not sure now. I might take it back

I just picked one up for filming aerial shots for some videos I am working on. Neat little drone for the money. Did you try it in all 3 speed modes? It has low, medium, and high speed modes for learning to fly in FPV. Haven't given it a full run yet myself to test the speed modes and how much lean it may have at full speed.

Tried to set up the headset it comes up for a second then cuts out I am near an tower and power lines does that cause issues

Its a FPV basic drone for practice shots not bad bought one....DJI professionally is the best no matter what on any level.
