Hi all, in this video I test spintires mod diesel-M62 locomotive. Look like the train with 12 wheels. Do you see this large train in real ?

К слову говоря, такой монстр реально существовал. Его планировали использовать как тягач для ракетных комплексов СС-300 и СКАД. Но ходовые узлы от МАЗ-525 не могли нормально работать с дизелем 5д-45 и общей массой тепловоза в 120 тонн. Проще говоря тягач оказался очень ненадёжным и в целом сырым.

Makes kind of sense about trucks built before roads. The expenses per capita are quire high in sparsely populated, yet large countries.

Wow... just goes to show that there's a thin line between genius and insanity, and this skates right along the edge of it... in the best possible way.

Both the machine shown here, and the software, in a way. The level of detail is just mental. *Good* mental...

Can't help thinking that it could do with some system to maybe camber the wheels somewhat (top out, bottom in) to effectively increase the ride height and make the underside present much more of a wedge, rather than slab shaped profile to all the mud (and occasional cut-off tree trunk) it keeps getting stuck on. Or perhaps a plough (or snowblower type arrangement?) to push all the squidge off to the side (or blast it out the rear of the loco) and make one 8ft-wide rut down to the underlying rock / drier earth, instead of two 18-inch wide ones with a 6ft gap between...

See, children, this is why properly surfaced roads are a good idea, even if it's unsealed and really just an occasional layer of gravel spread on top of the mud to give it a bit more substance instead of turning into chocolate mousse.

прорисовка работы трансмиссии - высший пилотаж! очень круто! а что тепловоз- да хрен с ним ! посмотрите как проработана "масса" аппарата и " габариты" - классс!
