I cannot wait for your discussion on Empire of the Vampire. Like you, I did not enjoy nevernight, which is why EOV shocked me so much. I found the beginning to just be okay but by the end, it became one of the best books I have read this year. It impacted me in ways I did not expect at all.

Sounds like you have a great month ahead of you! I am sooo curious to hear your thoughts on EotV. I personally really loved it, but then I also really liked Nevernight, so there's that, lol. They are super different though. Both edgy, but definitely different!

Empire of the Vampire is amazing, I loved it. And the ending is epic AF and surprisingly powerful. It made me tear up which is hard for books to do. It's badass and fun and the vampires are cool as hell. Can't wait for book 2.

Dresden is the GOAT 🐐 Favorite series of all time for me. I'm obsessed with it. 😅

Also, Fullmetal Alchemist is one of the best things ever made. I haven't read the manga but Brotherhood will have a special place in my heart forever. I will read it one day for sure.

🧛‍♂️ I’ve got one Kristoff book on my TBR, Illuminae, but the YA tag does give me a whole bunch of pause! I’m too old for that 😆 FWIW, I like TBR/Wrap-up episodes - I like seeing the plans meet reality, as my own October TBR can testify 🤦‍♂️

Proven Guilty is probably one of my favorite Dresden books too. That's the one with Molly and the Splatter con, right? I'm kinda interested in Empire of the Vampire. Maybe I'll try to read it in Nov too. It actually sounds good I think.
