The fact that you get about 1 second to tilt before the next game is the hardest part about this

Meanwhile, on Hikaru's end:

"Dr.Destiny, thanks so much for the prime, three months, thanks so much *draws seven arrows* now I've got the bastion and he can't beat this pony, if he takes I take, and Princess Fianchetto with seven gifted subs, thanks so much, seven gifted subs, okay g.g., on to the next game, let's play H4 for the memes, I had this exact game against a Russian GM nine years ago in Finland, I played f3 then which I thought was winning and I saved it in the endgame, but f4 was better, now I've got the wooden shield, did I blunder just then, no, he didn't see it, there was a seven move combo there with dese knights, but he missed it and now I'll just premove these next six moves, it's a forced line, okay resigns, g.g., onto the next one, thanks for the sub Wacky Tabacky, thanks so much, takes here and takes, and that's a free juicer, *draws nine arrows* so if he goes here, the pony jumps in here, family fork, then the bishop can slide in here, okay, he saw it, but now I've got this and this, create a passed pawn on the B file and push p, get the rook behind thanks to WallyIsWhere for the six month prime, thanks so much, did I just blunder that, no, he missed it again, I am just so bad at chess, so trade queens, takes and takes, this pawn will be enough to win, okay resigns g.g., let's go onto the next one..."

a 9-1 session against a +3200 is impressive but ppl think that 43.5/44 against 2900 is cheating lol Hikaru is a beast thats all

The thing is Hikaru did his move while talking to his chat.

6:58 - Kramnik - 'Write that down, write that down.'

This is instructive as fuck I love it. Pausing to look at positions a bit more makes for a wild ride. I feel for him, rough streaks suck, but I'm so grateful he and other greats are showing us so much of their play. Thanks for the dope clips

Only win was because Hikaru made a mouse slip. He wanted to play rook b8 but castled long instead. Absolutely monstrous play by him.

It’s crazy in comparison to Hikaru where he’s just making jokes and peeking at chat while playing

Hikaru is the master of bullet chess because he knows how to improvise and survive with slightly worse positions. His knowledge of tactics and structures is so comprehensive that he basically knows how to play positions where the opponent, lacking a similar on-the-fly knowledge base, tends to be more inaccurate over the course of a game, giving Hikaru a slow but steady advantage in the end game.

Hikaru is rightly called the king of defensive chess. Daniel Naroditsky is a top 150 player in the WORLD, and Hikaru just seems like he's on another level.

Daniel: Can’t give me a winning position every game

I just watched both sides and on that one game where Daniel won, Hikaru did in fact mouse slip. He meant to go rook B8 instead of castling. I watched both videos and watched this exact move where Hikaru was going rook B8 and accidentally held the king and incredibly both knew at that move what the outcome of the game would be. How in the hell are these guys that good?

One does not simply have a "winning position" against Hikaru

I can’t believe people have entire games in 1 minute while I take a minute just to make a blunder

Daniel is playing all calmly, but I can imagine Hikaru head-bopping throughout the entire match... I checked Hikaru's video of this afterwards, and sure enough! Haha

On that 9th game, it is insane that Hikaru knew he was going to lose only a few moves in after he accidentally castled.

Hikaro almost adopts Danya yet Kramnik thinks Hikaru is cheating going 45.5/46 against random lower titled players 😂

I'm so used to seeing Hikaru takes takes takes with the occasional wooden shield or of course the Kebab positional variation from his perspective. Now watching him play Daniel you know how brilliantly fast Hikaru is, top 6 in the world so it shouldn't be a surprise.

The one checkmate for Daniel was actually due to a mouse mistake from Hikaru when he grabbed the king instead of the rook and castled at the very wrong time! Hikaru instantly predicted a checkmate against him after his mistake.
