Setup Projector to use/project mix aspect ratio files 4X3 16X9

I want to show you about an issue I ran into while doing projection at different locations and hopefully my solution can help you.

Thanks, this video helped me out a bunch. I was on a tight budget for a projector, well more so it was my first projector and I didn't want to spend a load of money to find out I wasn't that into it, so I looked into cheap refurbished projectors on eBay with decent usage hours. I ended up getting a great refurbished Hitachi for about £35 with only 500 hours on the bulb. The projector had a native resolution of 1024x768, meaning it was 4:3, so before buying I was a little worried about how it would convert to 16:9 as I planned on mainly using the projector for movies and light gaming, but also sometimes for browsing the web which I would do in 4:3 to get the most out of the resolution for the text. Obviously, once I set it up I ran into your exact problem, and your method has solved all my problems with it. So thanks very much for the advice, you just earned a new sub!

I have a similar problem with my outdoor screen
I would like to know how to to get rid of the extra light outside the screen area shining on the wall. Image fits screen perfect but I have an area around the screen that's lit up with just white light.
Please help
