These started since the early years of the 21st century! The Wealthy are responsible for this atrocity! The harm to people and no one affording rent or homes in this century. I think that at some point both actors and actresses are extremely overpaid. Paying someone 20 Million Dollars to act in a movie is ridiculous and most of the times they don’t really have to give their best acting. Meanwhile other actors are paid almost nothing. It’s just too extreme: it’s either way too little or way too much.

Idk why people are defending her in the comments, female actress’s were taken seriously decades now in cinema, if you are a leading actor (regardless of gender) your going to get more pay, if two actors are taken seriously & have same value to the project there going to get the same pay as they should!!!

Very valid point about gender and top earning stars, but what about the pay gap between an actor and lighting technician? I think that’s far more, I think when pay is being attributed fairly this is the first place I would look. At the same time gender pay gaps can be addressed.
