He didn't work 22 hours in a day - good hearing Roger, but the thumbnail is insane manipulation.

In 20+ years Roger has never retired injured during a match because he put a lot less strain on his body and played a very agressive shot making game compared to Rafa and Novak who tend to grind it out more..

Switzerland is a small country, and from time to time he talk to someone who met him or knows him. Everybody said he is a pretty normal guy, you can’t feel this aura of superstar.
In Switzerland people wanted to name a park after him, and he said no. Typical Roger Federer.

Roger was well known to sleep 12 a day.. and on top of that he trained 22 hours a day.. and that is how you become the best in the world.

I like he said that working on weakness is good but that's also mean he will not be feared because he could have use that time to work on his strength. In life, being well rounded is good for an employee but to be more than that you have to have a strength. Most of what he said can be applied in real life which is why I like to listen to him.

One of the greatest person to learn from and quality messages, just to be ruined with a dumb click-bait thumbnail. I’ll only let it pass this time because it’s still Roger Federer.

Definitely some wisdom here that transcends tennis. Imagine it - you've accomplished your goals, you've succeeded, so how do you keep going? You have to set goals. As Federer says - just loving the craft isn't enough. Loving the craft can get you far, very far, but you will plateau if you don't set goals and keep trying to improve. So what goals do you set? Well, Federer says there's always something you can improve. Pick something. Every craft has nuance and areas you can broaden your skills... Don't let success prevent you from reaching for the next rung on the ladder. What else are you going to do?

Can anyone help with my motivation? 10 years ago I sacrificed everything to play tennis. I knew I didn’t have the talent to be a top player but wanted to see how far I could take it if I committed to training. I employed coaches for technique, fitness, psychology etc. A year ago I played in a fun club tournament for players who are not at the level to play in the local league. I lost. I felt I had sacrificed everything and had nothing to show for it- I decided not to give up and keep going. Today I lost the same tournament again- I finished on the bottom court losing the last match. 10 years ago I really believed that I would be close to national level by now with the dedication I have shown- why is this happening? Where do I go now?

I know you think the thumbnail is cool but it's actually cringe and devalues the content.
