Meenan Transmission Dodge Diesel 6.7L 68RFE

This 68 RFE transmission came to our shop without fifth or sixth gear. It had Gear ratio codes for fifth and sixth gear stored in the computer. The transmission was removed for internal inspection. What was found a failed snap ring in the input clutch retainer damaged the transmission and clutch components. Fortunately this transmission has available upgrades to prevent failures in the future. This truck is a work truck and it is used to plow snow. The 6.7 L Cummins engine makes a significant amount of torque torque. This over time will have an effect on internal transmission parts. The upgrades described in the video will allow this transmission to handle the additional power output of the Diesel engine with out the flexing and deflection that takes place with the factory components and ultimately is a cause for transmission failures.
