I wore some pvc jeans to the office at Christmas once. I actually got a bit self conscious with all the looks and double takes.
I do have a stutterhiem pvc mac, that feels completely normal. Especially if it is actually raining.
It also depends where you work.
Local government accounts department? Probably not.
Hair salon? absolutely.
