2025 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid Review | Worth The Hybrid Hype?

The Hyundai Santa Fe is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to design and creature comforts, albeit at a high asking price for its gasoline-only variant. However, will the addition of a new hybrid justify its new highest price? While the fuel savings are great, does the experience still stack up given the price increase? Also, Caco's out of town so Jack picks up the camera once again to film! Check out the Hyundai Santa Fe on this episode of Behind the Wheel and on the AutoDeal app!

OMG autodeal is listening. The last time Jack made review, people were quick to point out his outfit. Now he looks 100% better

Jack and Caco on a Head to Head review. Yes? Include Earl if it’s a 3-way comparison.

Good review Jack! Way to go🎉
I turns out that CR-V HEV price little less compared to this. But Santa Fe has 2 extra seats and much more powerful engine (234hp & 367nm torque)

My 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid Limited is two days old. I love it. I am discovering new features all the time. I can drive 585 miles on a tank of gas, with excellent low-RPM power. Throw in 36 mpg city, and what's not to like?

Proud owner of a santa fe caligraphy here. In all honesty, i dont understand where these "jerky" comments are coming from coz i have never experienced it. The 8 speed DCT drives very very smooth, plus the 281 hp engine gives it power for a "fun" drive. Though I agree with Jack's comment, i.e. a more one to one drive for the hybrid considering that for the DCT, you have to drive it in a "precise" manner, so as not to confuse the DCT. In short, don't confuse the transmission into shifting the wrong way.

However, i find the ADAS very intrusive. I found myself in a tight parking spot when other cars started parking around me. The car wouldnt let me drive out of the tight spot and just kept on stopping me from reversing. Luckily, one of the vehicle drivers gave a bigger space for me to operate. It was quite an embarassing moment :))

Overall, id say the santa fe, wether the gas or the hybrid, is a master piece. Thanks for the great review and giving hyundai the spotlight it deserves. Cheers!

Love a refreshing video with Jack!! A great improvement from before so keep adding those witty jokes HAHAHA!!

To add to your comment about the Calligraphy having a "jerky" drive. I believe it really boils down to how a DCT behaves. I am basing this opinion from my experience in driving my dad's Mini Cooper w/ a DCT transmission. I think it's really in the nature of a DCT being a "sporty transmission" or "supercar transmission" since that's where it started. It really hates being driven like a economy car and wants to be driven hard.

Wouldn't mind having a trio as frontmen for AutoDeal reviews. Caco, Jack, and Earl!
